Concord Manor Stay- Guest Awnature (Goode, VA)
The property was everything we expected and more. There was plenty of space for all of us. It was clean when we arrived and well stocked with everything we needed. All members of the party commented on how nice the property was and how perfect it was for our gathering. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. I would come back and definitely recommend this property.

A Great Vacation in a Great House!- Guest Belle S.
We had a most wonderful vacation/reunion in this beautiful, well appointed home. The pictures online really do not do justice to grandeur and stateliness of the house. While the house is old fashioned style, it is very well kept and extremely clean. The linens on the beds are plush and of high quality. If you are self catering, there is more than adequate refrigerator and freezer space. It is a very large home and our party of 30 adults and kids had many places to hang out. If we wanted to be together, or if some one wanted privacy, there was space and place for all. The front and back porches were airy and lent themselves to long discussions and "hang out together" time. The pool is beautifully landscaped and kept very clean. The back yard has a beautiful gazebo eating area in which we picnicked every night. The property is expansive and the back and side yards hosted football and baseball games with the players ranging from 4 to 44. And the best for last. Patti and Bill were the perfect hostess and host. Close by to troubleshoot and help out and distant enough to let us feel that the beautiful mansion was "ours" for the week. - 5 of 5 stars
Our Week at Concord Manor- Guest Dottie (Wheaton, Il. )
Our family reunion (18 of us) and celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary at Concord Manor was a wonderful experience. The house was lovely and spacious to accommodate our large family. The porches and pool provided many places to gather. We were able to visit Appomattox, Natural Bridge, Charlottesville, hiking to Crabtree Falls, tubing on the James River, etc. The owners were helpful in directing us to places of interest locally. Our week was memorable and we were glad we could gather from Illinois and Florida to savor the beauty of Virginia.

GIRLS TRIP- Guest tns4fun (Roanoke,VA)
Concord Manor was the perfect setting for our recent Girls Trip. The backyard is very private with a pool, dining area and lounging spaces. We had the entire home so the group could breakup for playing games, tv time, chatting, etc. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area was spacious. We enjoyed playing tennis both days on nearby public courts. The owner, a former college coach, was gracious enough to teach a clinic for a small fee.

Three Generation Reunion / Retreat- Guest Roselyn H.
Concord Manor is clean and comfortable. The house is spacious, with lots of common areas. The outdoor areas are magnificent--a couple grassy spots for recreation, a large front porch, multi-level decking leading to the pool which has a large patio surround, and the vine covered patio (large enough to seat 20 comfortably)--all easy to enjoy, with chairs and tables just where you want them. We cooked big meals and baked cookies daily, and found everything we needed in the cupboards. I couldn't imagine a house with 20 before we vacationed here--but it worked well. We never felt like we were crowded or in each others way. We enjoyed simple activities: tubing on the James River; catching fireflies; tossing frisbies and footballs, swimming in the pool; a private talent show; long walks; and leisure conversation under the ceiling fans on the front porch. We were blessed with beautiful weather for our entire stay. The gracious host, Bill, was attentive to any needs or questions we had, and ever so pleasant to deal with, both before and during our visit.

Great Place for Family Gathering or Small Event- Guest Lynn L.
The Concord Manor is a wonderful home away from home. Bill and Patty have thought of everything for a do-it-yourself party or catered event. Our family used the Manor as a base for a family wedding in Lynchburg about 15 minutes away. For those of us who stayed here, it was wonderful having that "home" feeling particularly during our down time. There are a number of places throughout the manor and grounds to gather in small groups and plenty of room to host a larger gathering if that is what you want. We found ourselves drawn to the large comfortable kitchen(with everything you could possibly need) and outside porches and decks. Being based at the manor rather than in a hotel we, the parents of the groom, who were from out of state were able to enjoy time with our guests as if we were in our own home. The manor was spotless when we arrived. The bedrooms are large and beautifully decorated each with it's own theme. The beds are all comfortable. The only possible drawback is the lack of private baths in each bedroom. There are two master suites with baths, and two hall baths (only three with showers). Depending on the make-up of your group and the type of gathering, this may or may not be a problem. We would highly recommend the Manor for a variety of events or gatherings. Bill and Patty were unobtrusive, yet very accommodating. We only wish we had the time to have taken advantage of what the Manor had to offer more fully. It would be fun to come back for a family gathering without the wedding as part of the weekend!

A wonderful home with enough room for the whole family! We had 4 generations of family there together for a sweet time! Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable rooms. Owner helpful to work with. We ate in for all meals. High chairs for the kids were great. We spent our days on the deck. Porch And yard. Or on some great hikes in the area. We all appreciated the opportunity to be able to all stay together, eat together and have family time together all in one home:).

Wish we were there now!- Guest Stephanie P.
Our family (1 set of grandparents, 2 sets of parents, and 2 babies) had an amazing time at Concord Manor. The house was lovely and we enjoyed everything, from the rooms, to the pool, to the porch swing and hammock. There were so many great things to do and see nearby. We visited the D-Day Memorial, Appomatox, Holliday Lake State Park, Amazement Square, DeVault Family Vineyards and Natural Bridge. There were actually many others nearby that we simply couldn't fit in to the week. I wish we could go back right now as I'm sure Virginia is just beautiful with the leaves changing color. We definitely want to bring the boys back when they're a little older to see all the sites again when they can appreciate them better. Our hosts Bill and Patty were wonderful. Their have a gift of hospitality that makes you feel right at home when you arrive and very sad that you ever have to leave. - 5 of 5 stars
Beyond our expectations... Graciously appointed... Comfort and space indoors and out... Great hosts!- Guest Mary Ann U. (Durham, Cary, Charlotte, &Newton, NC; Red Lion, PA)
Our family of 20, ages 2 - 70, enjoyed 4 days and 3 nights at Concord Manor. Wonderful amenities, spacious bedrooms, ample sleeping accommodations, sparkling clean kitchen and baths, as well as the rest of this lovely estate home. We cooked all meals in the well equipped kitchen, and ate dinner on the patio under the arbor - so pleasant! Breakfasts were in the kitchen around the oak table and at the island ... plenty of room. (We signed up for meal preparation in advance ... our family has some good cooks!) The pool (with lots of chairs in the shade) and the large lawn area were the center of daylight activity. Later inside, the spacious dining room became our game room, the comfortable living room and parlor were great for TV or reading. The little ones had no trouble going to bed as the upstairs with six large bedrooms was a quiet area where anyone could find solitude if desired. This beautiful home is more than the pictures are able to show. One of our "dads" chose Concord Manor for the swimming pool. We all came away having enjoyed not only the pool, but the beautiful secluded grounds, the ambiance and spaciousness of this beautiful estate home, and the hospitality of fine hosts, Patti and Bill, who made us feel so welcome and were so helpful in tending to our needs. Thank you! We highly recommend Concord Manor as a special spot for a family gathering, a group getaway or meeting place. You will love it!!
